Our homeschool enrichment classes combine seasonal cooking, practical life skills, science, history, math, and creativity in a hands-on environment where students learn by doing.
Every recipe becomes an opportunity to build confidence, solve problems, and discover the joy of making something from scratch.
Fall Course
COURSE DETAILS:
START DATE: Sept. 9, 2026
FREQUENCY: Every Other Wednesday
TIME: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
LOCATION: L’Amore Turlock
AGE: 6 - 10 Years Old
A hands-on cooking course designed to build confidence in the kitchen. Students learn essential skills like kitchen safety, measuring, mixing, following recipes, and preparing simple meals while exploring seasonal ingredients and discovering the science behind cooking. Each class encourages creativity, teamwork, and practical life skills children can use at home.
This will be a semester long class from September to December. A full calendar will be provided after registration along with a course outline. The cost includes all materials, recipes, and ingredients.
COURSE DETAILS:

FREQUENCY: Every Other Wednesday
TIME: 1:00 - 3:00 PM
LOCATION: L’Amore Turlock
AGE: 11-15 Years Old
Designed for students ready to build on foundational kitchen skills, this hands-on course develops greater independence, confidence, and culinary technique. Students refine their cooking and baking abilities while exploring knife skills, food science, meal planning, seasonal cooking, and food preservation. Each class challenges students to think critically, solve problems, and prepare recipes with increasing skill and responsibility.

A hands-on culinary course designed to prepare teens for independent living. Students develop advanced cooking and baking skills while exploring nutrition, meal planning, budgeting, food preservation, and hospitality. Through real-world kitchen experiences, they gain the confidence and practical skills needed to cook for themselves, their families, and beyond.
This will be a semester long class from September to December. A full calendar will be provided after registration along with a course outline. The cost includes all materials, recipes, and ingredients.

About Our Teaching Kitchen
Tegner Mill Teaching Kitchen is a hands-on cooking program rooted in seasonal ingredients, practical kitchen skills, and gathering around the table. We teach old skills for modern families through classes designed to help people cook with confidence and connection.

A playful sensory kitchen workshop introducing young children to dough, herbs, tomatoes, and simple summer kitchen activities through hands-on food exploration alongside a caregiver.

This class is designed to feel creative, practical, and approachable — encouraging kids to try new foods, work together, and experience real cooking from scratch in a welcoming kitchen environment.

A hands-on summer cooking series focused on fresh tomatoes, sauces, dough, seasonal produce, and real kitchen skills using ingredients inspired by the Central Valley harvest.
Throughout the series, students will explore:

Pizza-inspired recipes
Simple summer meals
