A hands-on summer cooking series focused on fresh tomatoes, sauces, dough, seasonal produce, and real kitchen skills using ingredients inspired by the Central Valley harvest.

Throughout the series, students will explore:

  • Stovetop cooking

  • Baking basics

  • Herbs & sauces

  • Flatbreads

  • Pizza-inspired recipes

  • Simple summer meals

This series is designed to feel creative, practical, and approachable — encouraging kids to try new foods, work together, and experience real cooking from scratch in a welcoming kitchen environment.

This workshop will be taught by Katrina Freitas - a local personal chef.

A few things to note:

  • Please arrive 10 minutes early

  • Wear closed-toe shoes

  • Long hair should be tied back

  • Notify us of any allergies

  • Student must be checked in/out by an adult.

  • Because ingredients and preparation are purchased in advance, workshop registrations are generally non-refundable.

    Cancellations made at least 7 days before the class may receive a class credit or refund minus processing fees. Cancellations within 7 days of the class are non-refundable.

  • Most kids classes are drop-off style unless otherwise noted. Parents are welcome to return a few minutes before class ends for pickup.

  • Our classes are designed to be hands-on, collaborative, and encouraging. We ask that students follow kitchen safety instructions, participate respectfully, and help create a positive experience for everyone in the kitchen.
